Umrah in Quran was mentioned in many places consequently that its merits, wisdom, and many of its provisions and rites become clear.
Therefore, we will talk about the mention of Umrah in the Quran in detail.
The Virtue and Reward of Umrah in Quran
Firstly, we will talk about Umrah Virtual and reward as mentioned in the Quran, which is Safety and Fear Removal:
Whoever enters the Kaaba, fear will be removed from him and he will not be harmed, because Allah says:
“In it are clear signs [such as] the standing place of Abraham. And whoever enters it shall be safe. And [due] to Allah from the people is a pilgrimage to the House – for whoever is able to find thereto a way. But whoever disbelieves – then indeed, Allah is free from need of the worlds.”
[Al Imran: 97]
Umrah in Quran
Certainly, we will talk about the ruling on performing Umrah in the Quran.
Islamic scholars have inferred that Umrah is obligatory for Muslims from Allah saying:
“And complete the Hajj and Umrah for Allah”
[Al-Baqara: 196]
Rules of Umrah in Quran
Further, we will mention some of the Umrah rules in the Quran:
Prohibition of Shaving the Head
One of the Umrah rules is that you should not shave your head while in Ihram; as a result for Allah saying:
“And complete the Hajj and Umrah for Allah. But if you are prevented, then [offer] what can be obtained with ease of sacrificial animals. And do not shave your head until the sacrificial animal has reached its place of slaughter. “
[Al-Baqara: 196]
Hunting Animals is Prohibited
While you are during the state of Ihram you should not haunt animals; because Allah says:
” O you who have believed, do not kill game while you are in the state of ihram”
[Al-Maaida: 95]
Fishing is Allowed
Haunting animals make you come out of the state of Ihram, on the other hand, fishing is okay during Ihram, for Allah says:
“Lawful to you is a game from the sea and its food as provision for you and the travelers, but forbidden to you is a game from the land as long as you are in the state of Ihram.”
[Al-Maaida: 96 ]
Tawaf Al-Safa and Al-Marwa
It is mentioned in the Quran that it is obligatory to circumambulate Al-Safa and Al-Marwah when performing Hajj or Umrah, as a result for Allah says:
“Indeed, as-Safa and al-Marwah are among the symbols of Allah. So whoever makes Hajj to the House or performs ‘umrah – there is no blame upon him for walking between them. And whoever volunteers good – then indeed, Allah is appreciative and Knowing.”
[Al-Baqarah: 158]
Hajj in the Arabic language means intention, and Umrah means to visit.
However, Al-Safa and Al-Marwah are the two mountains known in Mecca at both ends of the path.
