The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has issued some conditions for performing Umrah, including the Umrah age limit 2023,
This is to ensure the safety of the pilgrims and to prevent the spread of any disease or epidemic among the pilgrims
Umrah Age Limit 2023
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has set an Umrah age limit 2023; which is 5 years old; Where everyone over 5 years old is allowed to go to perform Umrah.
Children who are at least 5 years old can apply for a permit to perform Umrah, under the following conditions:
- They must be accompanied by their parents or guardians when traveling to perform Umrah.
- Provide proof that they do not have COVID-19 or have not been in contact with any COVID-19 patients if they want to enter Haram.
Umrah Requirements 2023
In addition to the age limit, the following requirements must be met to perform Umrah:
Reservation
It has become mandatory for pilgrims to book for Umrah through Nusuk or Tawakkalna apps.
Tests
No need to present a negative PCR test result or a rapid antigen test result before departure to Saudi Arabia for foreign pilgrims.
However, pilgrims entering Saudi Arabia on visitor visas must have medical insurance, so that medical costs related to COVID-19 during their stay are covered.
The Vaccine
Pilgrims must obtain the following vaccinations:
- Yellow fever vaccination
All foreign pilgrims must present a valid yellow fever vaccination certificate, provided that the person obtains the vaccination at least 10 days (and not more than 10 years) prior to the date of his arrival in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,
for pilgrims coming from countries or regions at risk of infection. with yellow fever.
- Meningococcal meningitis vaccine
Pilgrims must receive the meningococcal meningitis vaccine at least 10 days before traveling to Umrah, and no more than 3 years before arriving in Saudi Arabia.
- Polio vaccine
All pilgrims must receive the polio vaccine, for pilgrims coming from polio-endemic countries,
By obtaining at least one dose of oral polio vaccine, and providing proof of receipt.
It should also be taken at least 6 weeks before the date of arrival in Saudi Arabia.
- Seasonal influenza vaccine
According to the recommendations of the Saudi Ministry of Health, it is preferable to vaccinate pilgrims from outside Saudi Arabia against seasonal influenza,
especially people who suffer from health conditions, the elderly, pregnant women, and children.
Quarantine
Quarantine is no longer a requirement for entering the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj and Umrah for foreigners, in the event of obtaining a full vaccination with the Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Moderna, and Janssen vaccines.
While foreign pilgrims who have received the Sinopharm, Sinovac, or Covaxin vaccines must undergo a 3-day quarantine and submit a PCR test certificate 48 hours after the date of the quarantine.
Masks
Social distancing and wearing masks are also no longer a requirement while performing Umrah or Hajj, but it is recommended to wear masks in crowded places. For your safety.
